Meet Jenny Gerbrandt

I hold a Masters in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville University, 2015) and have been working as a Counselling Therapist in private practice for ten years and also provide supervision to fellow counsellors. Over the years I have gained a renewed appreciation for the process that we go through in therapy, and in life. Through my experience of walking with clients, I have become increasingly convinced that quick fixes are not the answer. There is beauty and value in walking through all parts of life – not sidestepping the hard parts.

But the reality is that the hard parts are – well, hard. You don’t need to do it alone.

I may not be able to completely change your circumstances. But I can help you discover what parts are in your control that you can change. I may not be able to take away all the pain or fear. But I can show you some strategies to cope with it. I cannot make all your dreams come true. But I can help you build goals and take steps toward achieving them.

I have experience working with issues of anxiety, trauma, stress, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship struggles. I work with couples and individuals ages 16 and older.

I currently have limited availability for new clients. Please contact me with any questions or to inquire about openings.

Meet Christy Epp

I am a friend, daughter, wife, and mother. I was born and raised in Southern Manitoba but have lived significant periods of my life in other areas of the world including Alberta, BC, and parts of Africa. This has given me a great love for culture, differences, and personal understanding of life transitions and adaptations.

I have invested many years into adult education, language teaching, and student support counselling. I have also worked on a care and crisis team for frontline workers, offering support for those who are impacted by crisis and traumatic situations. Through these experiences, I have grown a passion to provide a warm, safe, non-judgmental, and empathic space for individuals to explore and heal from the challenges they face in life. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and desire to walk with you, providing support, tools, and encouragement.

Christy is currently a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology candidate through Yorkville University and is under the supervision of Jenny Gerbrandt. Christy approaches therapy with an interpersonal, attachment, and trauma-focused lens. She believes that each person and situation is unique and therefore, draws upon an integrative holistic approach. Christy has supported those experiencing anxiety and depression, life transitions, grief, and PTSD due to crisis and trauma.

Christy is currently taking new clients. Because Christy is a student, she is able to offer a reduced fee for her services. Please contact us if you would like to meet with Christy.
